A perspective of the Gospel January 4, 2023

I was told by professor Dr. Estes, during a class at Louisiana Baptist University; that how you see God is how you see the Bible. How you see the Bible is how you see God. If your perspective is that the Bible has imperfections, then your perspective is that God has imperfections. If your perspective is wrong, your salvation is at risk.

The gospel is easy to understand. God sent His Son to earth in human form, to live and teach among us. He died on the cross and through His blood, we are saved. This is of course if we believe He is the Son of God and died for our sins. If we ask for forgiveness and ask Him into our hearts.

The Bible talks about this in many verses. The Bible said that Jesus' blood is for the remission of sin. We are born in sin; Jesus provides us with a path out of sin. Read Colossians 1:13For He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son;

Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of sins.” The path to salvation is through Jesus’ blood. He did this for everyone on earth, then and now.

God has done His part; we must do our part. We need to believe and confess our sins. If you do not believe God can forgive sin, asking won’t help you to the path of salvation. Not just believe He exist; believe in your heart that God and the words of the Bible are true. Read Romans 10:9 “Because if you confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, one confesses unto salvation.” The path is laid out for us to walk, just believe, and confess.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve sinned against God. They were cast out into the World, and that is why we are born into sin. One man sinned and we are all affected by this action. One man caused this separation from God. Read Romans 5:12Therefore, even as through one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed on all men inasmuch as all sinned:” We are sinners that need Grace from God.

God gives us a reconciliation, or path as it were to Salvation. That path is through Jesus Christ. Read: 2Corinthians 5:18And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2Corinthians 5:19 whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us.” Through the Blood of Christ, we have a path of reconciliation with the Father in Heaven. All we need to do is believe and confess and ask for forgiveness from God, and we will be saved. This action will give us a path to live forever with the Heavenly Father in His Kingdom.

The perspective of God as the creator and the Bible as the word of God; is the key to Salvation. The right perspective of the Gospel in the Bible is the right path to eternal life with God.

Remember, don’t just read the Bible, Study it.
